Insect screen window inserts are included as a standard feature with every openable Renewal by Andersen® window. These lightweight screens can be removed from the inside of your home for easy cleaning. All insect screens are constructed with an aluminum frame and your choice of glass fiber, aluminum, or our innovative TruScene® insect screens. Half-sized insect screens are available on double-hung windows.

With our new TruScene® insect screen, the view from your window stays as clear as all outdoors. With over 50% more clarity than standard insect screens, it’s virtually invisible and totally innovative. TruScene® insect screens are made with a micro-fine stainless steel mesh that’s one-third the diameter of standard screen wire. This lets more sunlight and fresh air in while keeping even the smallest insects out. TruScene® insect screens from Renewal by Andersen are like nothing you’ve ever seen before.

Each Renewal by Andersen® glass option provides you with more energy efficiency, visible light transmittance, and ultraviolet (UV) protection than a standard window. We offer two different glass options for a truly custom window. The right glass solution for you depends on the climate you live in, the architectural design of your home, the orientation of your windows to the sun, and the indoor temperature you prefer.

High-Performance Low-E4® glass is our standard offering.

Compared to ordinary dual-pane glass, High-Performance Low-E4® glass is 45% more energy efficient in winter and 56% more efficient in summer.**

High-Performance Low-E4® SmartSun™ glass has our highest efficiency rating in cool weather and is exceptional in hot climates where the sun’s heat can cause your energy bills to skyrocket. SmartSun™ glass blocks the sun’s heat while letting in almost as much natural daylight as clear glass, which reduces your need for artificial lighting. Even better, SmartSun™ glass blocks an amazing 95% of harmful UV rays. This helps to reduce fading on your carpet, drapes, artwork, and furniture, as well as lower your risk of skin damage.

We also offer High-Performance Low-E4® Sun™ glass. This option features our highest rating against solar heat gain coming through your glass, which helps keep your home cooler in warm weather. Our sun glass has a tinted coating to reduce the amount of natural light in your home from too bright to just right!
