The holiday season is a time for giving, and this year, Renewal by Andersen of Central Virginia and Renewal by Andersen of Roanoke embraced the spirit of generosity by participating in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. Employees from both locations joined forces to adopt 40 angels, each representing a child in need, bringing the magic of the holidays to local children and families.
What is the Angel Tree Program?
The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program is a cherished tradition that provides gifts, clothing, and necessities to children, seniors, and families in need during the holiday season. Participants adopt “angels” by selecting tags from a Christmas tree, each representing an individual in need, and then purchasing gifts to fulfill their wishes. This program not only brightens the holidays for recipients but also strengthens the community by uniting people in support of one another.
A Tradition of Giving in Central Virginia
Renewal by Andersen of Central Virginia has proudly supported the Angel Tree program for several years, making it a cornerstone of the company’s holiday giving efforts. This year, employees went above and beyond by adopting 32 angels. In addition to delivering their gifts to the Salvation Army’s distribution center, the team volunteered their time to help distribute donated items, ensuring that every recipient’s holiday needs were met.
The Start of a New Tradition for Renewal by Andersen of Roanoke
This year marked a significant milestone for Renewal by Andersen of Roanoke as the location participated in the Angel Tree program for the first time. With enough growth to host its own Angel Tree, the Roanoke team eagerly adopted 8 angels and delivered their gifts to the local Salvation Army distribution center. Coming Together to Make a Difference
Through their collective efforts, the employees from both locations brought joy and hope to 40 local children this holiday season. From purchasing gifts to volunteering their time, they showcased the power of community and the importance of giving back.
As we reflect on this year’s Angel Tree success, we are reminded that small acts of kindness can make a big impact.
